The new dispensation of Nadigar Sangam has been actively involved in various activities for the betterment of its members. They have taking various initiatives to raise funds for the construction of new multi-purpose building and conducting free medical camp for its impoverished members.

Amid these welfare activities the Nadigar Sangam Executive council headed by the President Nasser has decided to celebrate the centenary year of Makka Thilagam Puratchi Thalaivar M.G.Ramachandran aka MGR.

MGR's 100th birthday falls on January 17, 2017. The Nadigar Sangam has started planning now itself to make it a celebration of never before seen grandeur.

It is worth noting that MGR was one of the founding members and also a former President of the Nadigar Sangam.
