We all get our food on our plate because somewhere, that we are not aware of, a farmer works hard and produces the food that we eat every day.
Today, farmers are brushed off as “non-existent` and that mindset is impacting our country. If this continues, food-crisis will become a daily scene in India.
Naagali` is a movie directed by Rajesh Touchriver and produced by Sunitha Krishnan.
A tale that explains the struggles a farmer goes through to get that food on our plate and how we take their efforts for granted.
The producer of the movie, Sunitha Krishnan insists that “we all should understand and acknowledge the farmers effort. They dedicate their lives to feed food to us and we just reciprocate disrespect by being ignorant. We should change that.”
She continues “Naagali: The Plough, announcing a film on the storyline of farmers` suicide in India. Our lives are completely dependent on theirs yet we forget their efforts.”
