A man is keen on killing himself by drinking to death, he is actually a sharp lawyer but has a painful past. However, another lady comes into his life and things begin to take a new turn for him. That's when he comes with his different style, how successful he is, let us see

Story

Sivaram (Rajasekhar) is a drunkard to the core and is the cause of concern for his brother ACP Sharath (banerjee) and his advocate father (chalapathi rao). Apparently, he hates his family since he feels they were the cause of death of his lady love Divya (keerat), However, a phone call comes from one Parvathy (bhumika) and she is locked up somewhere by some kidnappers. Apparently, her family members are trying to kill her. Sivaram comes to the rescue act and gets Parvathy out from there. She begins to stay with him and soon her father (vijaykumar) comes from the US. Meanwhile, an amount of 5 crores gets lost and two murders also take place. Sivaram gets into the act to resolve this mystery and how he does that forms the rest of the story.

Performances

Rajasekhar did justice to his role and he has given a different touch to his acting this time. Bhumika looked sensuous and was irresistible during the songs and in Sari scenes. Devaraj was normal, Brahmanandam didn't do much, Ali was okay, Vijaykumar was elegant, Ahuti Prasad was mild, Venu Madhav was below average, Jeeva could not impress. The others did their bit to contribute to the film but then there was not much scope for performance.

Technical aspects

The cinematography was good and even the costumes and the art department did a neat job however the film fell flat on the dialogues, script writing part. Screenplay was again neat but the background music was totally disconnected. Songs were just okay and the action sequences were effective. Editing was required a lot during the second half and also to cut down the climax. The production values were not inconsistent but then few places had the flaws.

Director's portrayal

The director tried to come up with a family entertainer along with a murder mystery and the focus was more on the twists and the suspense points than actually bringing out the content. He could have handled the script effectively and comedy track should have been worked with more wit and humor. Even the pace of the film was not upto the mark and it must be said that the director must take charge for these drawbacks.

Critic's view

The main drawback for the film was the slow pace and the weak comedy track. Moreover, the length of the climax in revealing the suspense took a long time which tested the patience of the audience. Though the technical aspects of the film are good, the lack of energy in the scenes and the failure to utilize the best out of the senior cast such as Ahuti Prasad, Brahmanandam also played a role.

Verdict

Not upto the mark, poor.
