The pre-release event of 'Naa Peru Surya' was held in Hyderabad's Gacchibowli Stadium on Sunday evening.  Graced by the film's cast and crew, it was a spectacle to behold. Ram Charan was the chief guest.  With their hosting skills, Sree Mukhi and Pradeep Machiraju engaged the audience throughout the long event. 

Bunny Vas said, "His (Bunny's) name has become my 'intii peru'.  I have worked with him for 15 years now.  It was 15 years ago that he asked me to work with Allu Arjun.  Since then, I have learned a lot just by watching him transform himself year after year.  I must have met lakhs of people in my life.  I have never seen the kind of perseverance Allu Arjun shows.  Bunny is my life, my breath, and my soul."

His speech was followed by Stylish Star's grand entry even as the film's title song played in the background.  An Audio-Visual extolling the valour of our soldiers was aired. 

The promo of 'Lover Also Fighter Also', on which a number of Hollywood technicians worked, was played amidst the loud cheers of Bunnyists.

Niharika Konidela said, "I wish 'NPS' all the very best and a big success."  

Surender Reddy said, "I know Vakkantham Vamsi every bit.  He should have become a director five years ago.  People are saying he is lucky to have got to do this film.  But he has bagged 'NPS' because of his hard work.  My request to Bunny is that he should continue to give opportunities to new directors after every 3-4 films."

Lagadapati Sridhar was all praise for Bunny's character.  "He had told me 10 years ago that he will do a film with me.  Hats off to him for keeping the promise!  Vakkantham Vamsi is a socially-responsible person.  I am glad Bunny loved his story and did this movie.  It was Bunny who advised me to rope in 'Action King' Arjun garu for an important character.  We call him 'Jai Hind' Arjun and loved him in 'Oke Okkadu' and 'Gentleman'.  He was initially to play the father's character.  It's a big thing that we have made 'NPS' by investing Rs. 100 crores despite the fact it's directed by a debutant director.

We are releasing the movie in Telugu, Tamil and Malayalam simultaneously.  We wanted to release it in Hindi as well but couldn't do so because we couldn't catch up with Censor deadlines.  Bunny will become a household name nationwide after this movie."

Naga Babu said, "I had done movies with Annayya, Charan and Power Star Pawan Kalyan.  However, I hadn't done any movie with Stylish Star Allu Arjun.  With 'NPS', my wish has been fulfilled.  Bunny is a good person, he is innocent.  His traits will always protect him.  Like his cousin Charan has done with 'Rangasthalam', Bunny too should rock it at the box office with 'NPS'.  Bunny in this film is looking like a hungry tiger."

Anu Emmanuel said, "Working with Vamsi sir, I never felt that he is a first-time director.  He has got so much clarity.  Rajeev Ravi sir's visuals are wonderful.  It was a pleasure to work with Allu Arjun so early on in my career.  He is never satisfied as he always wants to do the best.  In every aspect, he wants to be the best.  That's the reason why he is what he is.  I want to salute all our soldiers for their selfless service to the nation!"

Arjun said, "I congratulate Ram Charan as his movie 'Rangasthalam' has grossed Rs. 200 crores.  I keep visiting many places.  And everywhere, be it in Mumbai or some other place, Telugu films are talked about.  When this film came to me, I had second thoughts.  But I shouldn't have had any second thoughts as it's a versatile character.  'NPS' is a wonderful, stylish movie.  I have done about 130 movies.  Bunny is a wonderful guy to work with.  He is such a dedicated actor.  Bunny and Charan have everything in life.  Yet they are dedicated every bit.  You will see a new Bunny in 'NPS'.  As Naga Babu garu just said, he is like a hungry tiger in the movie.  Bunny wants good market for his movies only so that he gets to work with great technicians (film after film).  That's admirable thinking."    

Allu Aravind said, "Bunny wanted to do an honest film.  His confidence in Vamsi was so great that he had no second thoughts before proceeding with the shoot.  I will talk more about the film during the film's success meet.  Because of some recent incidents that have upset us in the film industry, there are going to be some attempts to slam 'NPS' in order to generate mixed talk.  Only you (audience) can defy such negative attempts.  Many bad developments are happening behind the screens.  Bunny, I will tell you about such things later as you don't know they are happening!"  

Vakkantham Vamsi said, "I thank Nallamalapu Bujji garu for giving me the clarity that I should approach Bunny with this story.  I thank Dasari Narayana Rao garu for introducing me to the film industry.  Unfortunately, he is not alive to watch this movie.  However, I am happy that 'NPS' is releasing on May 4, which is his birthday!  Fortuitous it is! Cinematographer Rajeev Ravi garu didn't trouble us even for a day although his wife's film has been made.

His wife's film has got delayed as a result.  Such is his commitment. I am very fortunate to have got to work with producers like Lagadapati Sridhar garu, Naga Babu garu and Bunny Vas garu.  Had it not been for the 'Raja Mudra' of Stylish Star, this film wouldn't have been there!  I will tell this for the rest of my life.  It's not a joke that a newcomer like me has been entrusted with the responsibility to direct this high-stakes project.  The 'cap step' in the song 'Lover Also Fighter Also' is not a photography trick.  I know how hard Bunny practised to get it right.

He didn't want to use photography trick.  He is like a hungry tiger.  The one dream of the hero in 'NPS' is to go to the border.  That much the teaser made it clear.  He faces so many hurdles in realizing this one dream!  'Action King' Arjun garu made me so comfortable.  'NPS' has got all the elements you would want in a movie while at the same time delivering a message."  

Ram Charan said, "I have been witnessing Bunny's dedication, commitment, etc for many years now.  At family parties, the first person to entertain us would be Bunny.  My dad would ask me to learn from his dancing!  Before 'Chirutha', my dad called Bunny and asked him if I am fit for dancing.  'I have never seen him dance.  Will he dance properly or bring shame to us?' he asked Bunny.

It was Bunny who assured him that I will definitely do well!  'NPS' is looking like an honest film made with integrity.  Although I did 'Dhruva', I am proud to see my brother do an Army-based film.  He always wants to experiment.  That's why he did the intense Gona Ganna Reddy in 'Rudrama Devi', which won critical acclaim and fetched him so many awards.  In 'NPS', you are going to see such intensity for the whole length of the movie! I wholeheartedly wish that Vamsi will turn out to be the top-most honest director in Tollywood.

Anu Emmanuel was so nice in 'Agnyaathavaasi'.  I wish the film's producers all the best.  Mama (Aravind) rakes up controversies at times!  But I can understand his pain.  If there is any industry in the world that is bereft of corruption, it's only film industry.  We all work hard.  Prabhas has injured his shoulder twice.

Nanna garu has injured his shoulder in the past, Balayya garu has injured himself in the past.  Tell me where is corruption in the industry?  The media have been writing as it likes for the past two months. But I am sure people won't take the media seriously.  I would urge the media to let us be!"

Allu Arjun thanked his fans from across the world.  He said, "I thank the Indian Army for supporting us in doing this movie.  But for the Army, we wouldn't have been able to do this movie this well.  It was Nallamalapu Bujji garu who took this story to me.  He was to produce it.  But when I told him I want to do it with someone else because of personal obligations, he played ball!  I will remember it forever.  Lagadapati Sridhar has always made films with passion, whether or not he made money on them.

That's why I have always wanted to work with him.  He has dared to invest so much on this film although Vamsi is a new director.  Rajeev Ravi (cinematographer) is a person who inspires me as a human being. You will see a never-seen-before Arjun garu in 'NPS'.  Anu turned up to shoot for just two shots although she hadn't slept for 2 days.  Hats off to her.  I thank Ramajogayya Sastry garu and Sirivennela Seetharamasastry garu for their literature.  I had for long wanted to do an honest film.

Vamsi came to me with the right story.  Should 'NPS' become a success, only Vamsi should take credit for it.  I surrendered to him completely.  It's the director who is always the captain of the ship.  I think I will always be proud of this film.  'Rangasthalam' came at a time when the industry was in a slump.  Likewise, 'Bharat Ane Nenu' has become a big hit.  I wish 'Mahanati', 'Mehbooba' and all Summer releases all the best!"  

In a first, Bunny asked everybody to stand up for the National Anthem.  That's how the event ended.
