One Rajesh Manduri earlier this week claimed that the story of 'Acharya' was copied by Koratala Siva from him. He alleged in an interview that Mythri Movie Makers had helped Siva because it's to Mythri which knows the story from his narration in 2017.
Mythri, which has produced big-ticket movies such as 'Srimanthudu' and 'Rangasthalam', has warned Rajesh for making "baseless" charges. "The story narrated by Rajesh to us (in 2017) was bad and weak. If it was good, we ourselves would have produced the film with appropriate casting," Mythri said on Thursday. Rajesh had said that the banner was not ready to invest Rs 100 Cr on his story because he was a debutant director.
"We have introduced three new directors - Bharat Kamma ('Dear Comrade'), Ritesh Rana ('Mathu Vadalara') and Buchi Babu Sana ('Uppena') so far. Rajesh's story had no substance and that's why we didn't take it forward," Mythri said.
The banner warned him against "tarnishing" the image of Koratala Siva, who the banner described as a genius. "This Rajesh has got no evidence and is making allegations. We strongly condemn his outbursts and actions. We don't hesitate to say that appropriate action will be taken by us against Rajesh," the statement added.
"His gimmicks are cheap and appeal to everyone to ignore," Mythri said.
