The 2017 Dasara Festival in Mysuru that is world famous is adding more attraction this year as the home ground of Karnataka chief minister Siddaramaiah as head of the state last year of celebration. Next year middle is Assembly election and new government will come to power.
Among various new schemes introduced, the helicopter view of Mysuru, Open jeep view and Gold Card to help the tourists are a few new attractions. Mysuru DC D Ramdeep released ‘Gold Card’ said 300 such cards have been made available.
Each Gold Card is Rs.3999. The Gold Card holders would get quick entrance to Mysuru Palace, Zoo, Harangi lake, Chamundi Hills and special Darshan, Jagan Mohan Palace, Srirangapatna, Ranganathittu, bird sanctuary, KRS entry. The Card holders even get seats booked at Mysuru Palace cultural fest and torch light parade.
The Helicopter ride to watch the beauty of Mysuru and Palace on Wheels – in six member capacity helicopter travel by paying Rs.2300. it is ten minutes ride and special concession for handicap children.
The Mysuru Dasara exhibition is another top attraction from September 21 to 29. Bengaluru Fun World Resorts has taken the contract for R.6.66 crores. At this exhibition the special attraction is ‘White House’ of US President replica at a cost of Rs.80 lakhs. Last year Amaranath Temple replica was created. Already 37 stalls have come up at the Dasara Exhibition. The information, tourism, Kannada and culture stalls are coming up for highlighting rich cultural heritage of the Karnataka state.
