The 61st Film Fare award was concluded on Saturday night with pomp and gaiety. The topnotch like Dr Kamal Haasan attended the event and witnessed his daughter dance curiously with many other lined up programs.

From Kannada the best film was declared as Myna starring Chetan Kumar and Nithya Menon that was directed by Nagashehkhar, crowd funded cinema for the first time in Kannada Lucia` director Pawan Kumar received best director award. Best film going to Myna and Best director going to other film Lucia` is a wonder.

Among other winners the best actor Premkumar for Charminar`, Amoolya for Shravani Subramani` were reported in this column on Saturday itself. Among rest of the awards Achyuth Kumar for best supporting for film Lucia, Kalyani for best supporting actress in Jayammana Maga`, best male singer Poornachandra Tejaswi for Tinbedkammi….for Lucia, Sowmya Raoh for the song Karagidaa Baanalli….of Simple Ag Ond Love Story, best music director is Arjun Janya for Bhajarangi` while best lyricist is Siddu Kodipura for Banalli Badalago…of Simple Ag Ond Love Story at the 61st Film Fare awards event.
