Ahead of the release of 'Mehbooba' on May 11, its second single titled 'Naa Pranam' was released on Monday at an event held in Hyderabad. The film's cast and crew attended it.
Puri Jagannadh said, "I have this feeling that I have made a genuine film in a long time. We consciously add commercial elements while writing a script. As far as 'Mehbooba' is concerned, I made no conscious efforts towards that. About my hero (Akash Puri is his son), he started imitating Chiranjeevi garu, Balakrishna garu and other heroes from the age of four. He would pester me to offer him roles in my movies. Tortured, I offered him a role in 'Chirutha'.
There was a time when Akash wrote a story for Mahesh Babu. I told him Mahesh will beat me up if I told him that story. I also told him that it will take another 10 years for him to become a hero and that I may or may not be into films for that long. From that day onwards, Akash started beseeching whoever he would meet. Thankfully, I myself got to direct his debut. As soon as Dil Raju garu bought our movie, many called me up and congratulated me. This is my third film with Sandeep Chowtha."
Charmme said , that the film's trailer has got a tremendous response. "It has been highly encouraging. We have so far released two songs. The climax will thrill the audience. Vishnu Sharma garu's cinematography is great. 'Mehbooba' is an excellent love story," she said. She spoke of how much the team worked hard in biting cold for a schedule.
Akash Puri said, "I have been very confident from the beginning. When we heard Sandeep Chowta garu's violin tune for this sone, our confidence multiplied. My father could have done this movie with any hero. But I am glad he chose to work with me. This is his comeback movie for sure. I have got no fan base and I am glad his comeback film is with me."
The event was also attended by Neha Shetty, the film's heroine.
