It's known that Vidya Balan will be essaying the role of NTR's wife, Basavatarakam, in 'NTR', the big-ticket biopic directed by Krish.

Before starting to shoot for her part from July 18, the Bollywood actress talks about her role. "Basavatarakam was a very private person. She held her own despite being the wife of a demi-god. My character is extremely integral to the story," Vidya tells an English-language media house.

She says that she accepted the project instinctively.

Starring Nandamuri Balakrishna as NTR, this one sees Rana Daggubati as Chandrababu Naidu (unofficial), Prakash Raj as Nagi Reddy, Murali Sharma as Aluri Chakrapani, Naresh as BA Subba Rao and Bengali actor Jisshu Sengupta in a role. It will be a grand Sankranthi 2019 release.
