My India should be kind: AR Rahman

AR Rahman has been shocked by the gruesome murder of journalist Gauri Lankesh on Tuesday.
"I am so so sad about that. I hope these things don't happen in India. If these things happen in India, then it is not my India. I want my India to be progressive and kind," the genius has said in Mumbai during the promotion of his film 'One Heart: The A R Rahman Concert Film'.
This is not the first time that Rahman has expressed his heart-felt feelings about such an unfortunate incident. Referring to how some fanatics issued a fatwa against him for composing music for the Iranian film 'Muhammad: Messenger of God', he said in 2015 that he too had faced intolerance. "India is the land of Mahatma Gandhi who showed the world that revolution can be brought about through non-violence. We must set an example for the world," Rahman then said.
