Late actor Irrfan Khan's elder son Babil is all set to follow the footsteps of his father to make a career in acting. The trailer of his debut film 'Qala' was released recently and during the launch event, he agreed that he is under a lot of pressure. He also shared that instead to doing things just like his father did, he'd try to find his own voice and abilities.
The actor said, "Two years ago, when we were shooting, that time also the pressure was there. It would overwhelm me, it would scare me but now it motivates me to do better and work. The definition of pressure has changed now." Talking about what qualities of his father would he like to capture in his own craft, Babil said, “Mere father ki jo khoobiyan thi woh leke chale gaye, ab mein apni khoobiyan explore karunga (My father took his qualities with him, now I’ll explore mine).”
A period drama focusing on a talented singer and her struggle to become a playback singer, 'Qala' also stars Tripti Dimri, Swastika Mukherjee, Amit Sial and Varun Grover. When asked about what he has planned ahead for his career, Babil said that he hasn't. He stated, "Because we have this illusion, we think we are in control of our journey, we are not. I will improvise with what life throws at me. I want to explore everything, I want to do all kinds of films and play all kinds of characters. I want to just explore, that’s it."
