Last decade, Young Tiger NTR was constantly being linked up to a certain actress. She is Sameera Reddy, who did 'Narasimhudu' and 'Ashok' opposite the Nandamuri actor in 2005 and 2006, respectively.

Was Sameera frustrated with what the media was doing by linking up her with her co-star? "The truth is that I am a very friendly and straight up person. I don't hide anything. NTR was a wonderful co-star to work with and he taught me a lot. When I came to the industry, I didn't know anything. I was told that NTR is a very aloof boy but he turned out to be so different. We totally got along and we became friends, but our friendship was blown out of proportion. Too much was spoken about us and my family got very upset! I was a bold actress but at the end of the day, my father was a 'Reddy garu' to whom I had to answer. Somewhere I decided to move away from Telugu cinema because people were talking only about us. The focus went from Sameera Reddy to Sameera NTR," Sameera recently said in an interview.

"I was a good dancer, a good actress. I wanted to be known for my skills and not as NTR's lover. Because of the rumours, I had to distance myself from him. But we have always maintained respectful friendship and I admire him for that. I am happy for him because he is so successful. Most heroes get insecure but NTR is not like that. He is doing a film with some other hero now (referring to Ram Charan and 'RRR')," she added.
