People Media Factory, one of the leading production houses in Telugu cinema, is joining hands with ZEE Studios for Pawan Kalyan-Sai Dharam Tej's Bro, written and directed by Samuthirakani. Trivikram pens the screenplay, dialogues for the film that hits screens on July 28. After the resounding response for the character posters, promos and the teaser, the first single from Bro was launched today.
S Thaman composes the music for the film. The first single, filmed on the lead stars Pawan Kalyan and Sai Dharam Tej, My Dear Markandeya, is sung by Revanth and Snigdha Sharma. With lyrics by Ramajogaiah Sastri, the song is choreographed by Ganesh Swamy and Bhanu. Shot in a lavish ‘pub’ set erected for the film, it is a foot-tapping number packed with insights into time and life.
With Sai Dharam Tej in a stylish avatar impressing with his dance moves, My Dear Markandeya begins on an electrifying note with the trendy opening lines, 'Come on Come on Dance Bro.. Yamma Yamma Beats Bro.. Zindagi Ne Jukebox Bro..' While the star’s dancing skills need no introduction, the vibrant cinematography and the production design ensure it’s a visual feast.
Needless to say, the song picks up momentum with the arrival of Pawan Kalyan, who enhances its appeal with his charisma. The lines coinciding with his arrival, 'My Dear Markandeya..Manchi maata chepta raasuko.. Malli putti bhummediki raane raavu nijam telusuko..pakka dhigi niddara leche prathi roju pandaga chesuko..' are perfect for his persona and characterisation.
Urvashi Rautela, who’ll be seen in a special appearance in this song, oozes oomph with her screen presence, complementing the energy of the lead stars with her moves. Snigdha Sharma brings a folksy texture to the number and the superb orchestration is certain to woo music buffs.
On the whole, Ramajogaiah Sastri with his upbeat lyrics also suggests an important message about the ephemeral nature of human existence and how one needs to celebrate life everyday without complaints. From the costumes to the cinematography, choreography, the props and the musical appeal, My Dear Markandeya has all the attributes of an instant chartbuster.
While Pawan Kalyan plays the titular character (Bro), Sai Dharam is cast as Mark a.k.a Markandeyulu. The post-production formalities are progressing at a brisk pace. Ketika Sharma, Priya Prakash Varrier, Samuthirakani, Rohini, Rajeswari Nair, Raja, Tanikella Bharani, Vennela Kishore, Subbaraju, Prudhvi Raj, Narra Srinu, Yuva Lakshmi, Devika, Ali Reza and Surya Srinivas play other key roles.
