Late actress Pratyusha, who was famously seen opposite late Uday Kiran in the 2002 film 'Kalusukovalani', died mysteriously on February 23 the same year, only two weeks after the film's release. Aged 20, she had done 'Sri Ramulayya' and 'Snehamante Idera' in Telugu, besides being a popular Tamil actress.

When she died, it was widely reported that she died of suicide because her parents disapproved of her love affair with one Siddharth Reddy, who also attempted suicide but escaped. Pratyusha's untimely death shocked Andhra and Tamil people. And when a Gandhi hospital expert noted that Pratyusha was manually strangulated to death, the case was transferred to the CBI, which concluded that it was actually a suicide.

Now, after fifteen years, the actress's mother, Sarojini Devi, has accused her daughter's boyfriend Siddharth Reddy and a group of high-profile rich people of Hyderabad of gang-raping and murdering her daughter.

Sarojini Devi has said that certain political heavyweights had covered up the murder.
