It's known that 'Sye Raa' actor Vijay Sethupathi will be playing the legendary Sri Lankan spinner Muttiah Muralitharan in the latter's biopic. The movie might be titled '800', as the spinner had claimed 800 wickets in his career.

The sports drama will be directed by Sripathy Rangasamy. Sethupathi has made it official that Muralitharan will be guiding him on various cricketing aspects so that he gets the nuances right. The 'Nawab' and 'Super Deluxe' actor will have to get the bowling right to pull off the role of one of the best spinners the world has ever seen.

The ambitious project will be produced by Bollywood production company DAR Motion Pictures. This movie is expected to release in late 2020 in multiple languages in India.
