Speaking at a press meet held to announce a series of 'Baahubali' features in the coming weeks, Rajamouli said that October is going to be an exciting month for the makers.
"On Oct 1, the teaser of 'Baahubali' animated series will be released. On Oct 5, an announcement related to Prabhas will be made. We were surprised when we came to know about it. It's not related to any awards. It will make South India proud. It will make his fans proud. It's not related to his marriage. On Oct 22, the first look of 'Baahubali-The Conclusion' will be out. On Oct 23, that is, on Prabhas' birthday, the making video made on Virtual Reality technology, will be released," Rajamouli said. The trailer will likely be out in January next, as per the producer. The film will hit the screens worldwide on April 28, 2017.
The director spoke about the VR technology by explaining how the same can be experienced on a smart phone through an appropriate tool. "One can find that on google. VR gives 360 degree view by taking the viewer into the world. You can view the reality from all angles as if you were on the battlefield. It's like you are a character in the movie," he said.
Rajamouli revealed that the VR element is first-of-its-kind in the world. "The VR will be compatible with even the costliest technology. A month before the release of the movie, stalls will be set up in cinema halls. We are spending Rs. 25 cr on to bring the VR experience," he said.
Talking about the progress of the movie, Rajamouli said that most of the important and difficult scenes have been shot. The war sequences were shot for 75 days at a stretch. Two songs, a small fight and patch work is left to be done.
