Pawan Kalyan today held a press meet close on the heels of his meeting with AP CM Chandrababu Naidu, with whom the Jana Sena chief discussed Uddanam Nephropathy, GST affecting weavers, etc.
Taking questions from common people, Power Star spoke about his political plans and views on some topics.
1.I don't know as yet what is the strength of Jana Sena. I will know it only when I take a plunge into direct politics from October. I will be done with my current assignment by then. I will spend 3/4th of my time on direct participation in politics.
I have accepted to do a couple of movies. I will talk to the producers and impress upon them that I will do them only when time permits.
2.He revealed that the spotting of suitable talent with integrity (the party's local leadership) has been completed in all the districts but for a few. "The process will be done by September or October," Pawan said.
3.I don't say 'podichestha', 'kummestha', etc. I will try to understand the problem at hand.
4.Am I in secret relationship with the TDP? I am someone who has had political differences with my own brother.
5.Definitely, the issue of Special Category Status has been diluted. Both Chandrababu Naidu garu as well as YS Jagan Mohan Reddy garu must have their own reasons (for not raising the issue the way they are supposed to).
I am thinking of taking the demand at the Centre's doorsteps after thoroughly analysing the data. It can't be an emotional fight.
6.Should one do 'Pada Yatra' so as to do politics? I took up the Uddanam issue because I felt strongly about it, not because I did 'Pada Yatra'.
7.Alluri Seetharama Raju garu fought for the well-being of Girijans. But that doesn't mean we should restrict him to one section. He is a leader of everyone. Same goes with Ambedhkar garu. Hence, I felt bad when a leader recently called Mahatma Gandhi a 'Chatur Baniya'.
8.There are extremists in all castes. Elders and wise men in these castes should try to enlighten the fanatics.
9.I am not a casteist. Caste has no relevance in the film industry, but when one is in politics, one has to have an understanding of how caste works.
10.About the issue of Kapu reservations, I feel that the decades-long demand shouldn't have been abandoned in between. It should have been persistently fought for. When the TDP included it in the manifesto, nobody raised objections.
