The pre-release event of 'Dhruva' was held today in Hyderabad. The event was graced by KTR and Ganta Srinivas Rao, besides the film's cast and crew members.
Madhu, who has penned the film's additional screenplay, said, "This is a film with a speciality in every sense. This is a stylized movie that will be impressive to one and all."
Lyricist Chandrabose said, "I have penned four of the songs. Surendar Reddy is a director who has a very good sense of lyrics and music. Ram Charan's encouragement and support, too, helped me to give the output."
Lyricist Varikuppala said, "I have penned two of the songs. I have penned 'Parishanu raa' song. I have wanted to sing for long after 'Sampangi'. With this film, that wish stands fulfilled."
Naga Babu said, "This film has all the ingredients of a super hit. I liked the title a lot. Charan is very glamorous and looking very macho in six packs. Having Arvind Swamy garu play the villain only adds more charm to the movie. Allu Aravind garu is on a roll, scoring one hit after another. 'Dhruva' will continue that streak. Charan babu and Annayya are looking very much the same age."
Posani said, "I was the one who christened Pawan Kalyan as 'Power Star'. I said that after the release of 'Gokulam Lo Seetha', of which I was the writer, he will become Power Star. People think that a politician's son can easily become a politico, a star son can easily become a star, etc. But the sons of all the CMs haven't become Ministers. KTR garu has become a Minister not because his father is the CM, but because of his credentials. In the same way, Charan has become one of the best stars because, since childhood, he learnt fights, dances, etc to the extent that his body would be fatigued. He looks good and has a great phsyqiue. That's why he is a success and not because his father put money into his pocket. Allu Aravind garu has three sons, but one of them is not an actor. He is into business. If Allu Arjun is a big star, it's because he is one of the country's best dancers. Many directors have tried to launch their sons into movies, but they failed. I love VV Vinayak because he gave me 'Nayak', in which I played a very interesting role. After its release, I was offered 32 films in 6 days. Surendar Reddy's taking is very great and people will be proud that it's a Telugu movie."
Vamshi Paidipally said, "I was spellbound after watching 'Thani Oruvan'. This is not a film with hero and villain. They are two directors. I know how difficult it is to adapt or remake a movie. The biggest fear are the fans because if something goes wrong, they blame it on the director. The hero is never the one to be blamed. So, I appreciate Suri (director) for the effort."
VV Vinayak said, "Charan worked so hard that he broke his muscles due to exercising. It was just because his director asked him to do so. Watch the son's film in December and the dad's in January."
Sukumar said, "A week ago, a physical trainer told me that Charan has got the best biceps in the country. Charan is someone who fulfills his promise no matter what. Suri has a unique way in projecting his heroes. He did that in 'Race Gurram' as well. Allu Aravind garu is always updated. He keeps abreast with the times."
Boyapati Sreenu said, "Police means confidence. He means trust. It can be brought out only through looks. And Charan has hit the bull's eye. Rakul, who is the heroine of my last film, knows nothing but work. She works very hard. It's curious that the son (Charan) is a cop, while the dad (Chiranjeevi) is a 'khaidi'. Surendar Reddy is a director with a lot of clarity."
AP Minister Ganta Srinivasa Rao wished that the Geetha Arts-produced 'Dhruva' will become a big hit like 'Magadheera'. He said that although the event was to be held in Vizag, the T Minister KTR must have used his influence so that it was held in Hyderabad. KTR could be seen making a gesture to Charan at this with a smile on his face. "I wish the film's success event will be held in Vizag," the Minister said.
Producer NV Prasad said, "As soon as I watched 'Thani Oruvan', I called Charan babu up and suggested that he watch it. There was stiff competition for the remake rights. Allu Aravind garu, Dil Raju garu were in the fray. Danayya garu and me wanted to produce the film together. The film fell in place because Charan too wanted to work with us. Surendar Reddy had already given a word to Charan babu. We were particular about casting Arvind Swamy. He is not the film's villain. He is a character. The director has taken the movie to the next level."
Rana Daggubati said, "This is going to be the biggest film of the year. It will be the 'Baahubali' of modern, contemporary genre. A film starring Charan and Rakul and produced by Allu Aravind garu will become such big a hit that the posters won't be able to contain the record figures. Welcome back, Aravind Swamy garu, to TFI."
Rakul Preet Singh said, "I am very happy and thankful for trusting that I will be apt for the role. When Aravind sir is there on the sets, I don't feel like a producer is on the sets. He is like family. Charan is one of my favourite co-stars. He is like a child at heart, very dedicated. I am proud of him as a co-star for choosing a film like this. As a kid, I saw 'Roja' and 'Bombay'. I never imagined I will one day act with him. I thank you all for loving me so much. I may be a Punjabi by birth, but I want to be one among you."
Surendar Reddy said, "This is not a regular movie. Charan chose this movie because he wanted to do something new. He chose me later. He gave me the right producer and technicians to do this. Without them, 'Dhruva' wouldn't have come out this well. I can claim that I have a good friend in him. PS Vinod and Hiphop
