Allu Aravind is out to do something unseen-before. Teaming up with Namit Malhotra of Prime Focus (the world's largest independent integrated media services company) and Madhu Mantena of 'Rakta Charitra' and 'Ghajini' (Hindi) fame, the Geetha Arts stalwart will produce a three-series live-action Ramayana for the big screen.
The budget is pegged at a huge Rs. 500 Cr, making it the second richest Indian film after the recently-announced 'Mahabharath', starring Mohanlal as Bhisma.
Allu Aravind has been quoted as saying by an English-language publication that the story of Ramayana hasn't been told since long. He is in for a collaboration of sorts, as both Namit and Madhu Mantena have a national and international exposure.
This is going to be a Telugu-Tamil-Hindi project. It will be shot on 3D as well.
