In a surprise move, Elon Musk and Mark Zuckerberg have agreed to a cage match. Musk moved to Twitter to challenge Zuckerberg to a cage fight. The Facebook and Meta CEO tweeted a screenshot of Musk's remark, challenging him to "send me location."
"The story speaks for itself," a Meta spokeswoman said after the conversation. Musk suggested their imaginary fight take place in the Vegas Octagon, the famous UFC arena.
Musk joked that his hallmark move, "The Walrus," was lying on top of his opponent and doing nothing. He posted short walrus movies to suggest his challenge to Zuckerberg was a joke.
Zuckerberg, 39, has trained in MMA and won jiu-jitsu tournaments. Social media erupted with memes and parody posters predicting the fight's conclusion.
Twitter, where the exchange occurred, declined to comment. As the discussion continues, Meta just announced a text-based social network, codenamed P92, to compete with Twitter. This could challenge Musk's Twitter presence more than BlueSky or Mastodon.
The tech industry eagerly awaits developments on this unexpected and amusing confrontation between two powerful figures.
