Legendary music composer Vidyasagar was one of the most sought after in all South Indian languages during the 1990s and 2000s. He churned out hit albums for almost all the films that he composed and some of his songs are still rated high by music lovers.

Vidyasagar got emotional when the first live concert that he conducted at the YMCA Grounds in Chennai on May 7th turned out to be a huge success. Right from the youth to senior citizens thronged the venue and cheered every song of his for close to seven hours. Actor Karthi and his sister Brinda, directors P. Vasu, Dharani, Radha Mohan, Karu Pazhaniappan and others attended as chief guests and spoke in length about working with him.
