Today is the birthday of young music director, singer and lyricist Hiphop Tamizha Aadhi.

Aadhi is considered as instrumental in popularizing the hip hop music to Tamil music lovers. He created albums in that genre with his friend and made sure they hit the right chord with Tamil youngsters. His album under the tag Hiphop Tamizha` became a so big hit that became his identity and found its place as a prefix with his name.

Aadhi started his Kollywood journey as a singer in the 2012 film Naan`. He crooned the super hit theme number Thappellam Thappe Illai` composed by Vijay Antony. Then Anirudh made a better use of his singing skills in Ethirneechal`, Vanakkam Chennai` and Kaththi`.

It was director Sundar.C and Vishal who introduced Aadhi as a music director with the film Aambala`. The music album of the film was a hit. He scored music for last year`s unanimously acclaimed super hit Thani Oruvan` and that gave a strong hold for him in the film music industry.

After Isaignani Ilaiyaraja, Aadhi is the only Tamil mainstream film music composer to have successfully ventured into lyric writing. The unique feature of Aadhi is his penchant for Tamil language and he is a huge admirer of revolutionary poet Subramania Bharathiyar. This made him wellversed in Tamil language and he has been penning meaningful lyrics for the songs he composes. All the songs in Thani Oruvan` were penned by Aadhi and the songs got vivid appreciation for the powerful lyrics also.

After the recent hit films Kathakali` and Aranmanai 2`, Aadhi is presently working in Vijayakanth`s reentry film Tamizhanendru Sol` which is touted to be the story of ancient Tamil kings and also on his debut Telugu flick Rakshak`.

As he is popular for his music video performances and he has also performed in the songs of his film. we can expect him soon to bag bigger onscreen roles as well.
