'Gadar 2' Music Controversy: Composer Expresses Discontent

Sunny Deol's 'Gadar 2' is doing box office wonders and rewriting the records. Amidst this glory, the composer of Gadar, Uttam Singh, has now thrown light on his discontent with the makers of Gadar 2 for using songs from his original album in their follow-up without even asking him first. In an interview given to Amar Ujala, he said that no one took notes before making plans over the music originally used by me for "Gadar".

Gadar 2 is a sequel to Anil Sharma’s 2001 superhit "Gadar Ek Prem Katha". Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel also star again as Tara Singh and Sakeena, respectively, while Anil's son Utkarsh Sharma takes up this part. The sequel follows Tara Singh (Sunny Deol) rescuing his son from the clutches of the Pakistani Army in Pakistan itself. Releasing on August 11, the movie has grossed up to approximately ₹411.10 crore till now.
Emotional Sunny Deol shared his gratitude through an Instagram video with fans, thanking them for the success of the film. He said he was not overly impressed by how amazing they were and explained that they loved characters as well as stories. Dharmendra posted a social media video on Twitter while expressing love and a wave of thankfulness from enthusiastic lovers who are dancing to Gadar 2 inside the theatre based on the response last week.
