AR Murugadoss, who is facing plagiarism charges over 'Sarkar', has on Saturday said that his story is original.
"Recently, 6 members of the story writer's association felt that the stories (of 'Sarkar' and 'Sengol') are different, two were neutral and five others said that they are the same. Those who said they are the same are yet to read the entire bound script or see my film. They are biased and have formed their opinion on the basis of the synopsis of Sarkar's story," ARM said.
He said that it's commonplace for many directors to get the same idea. "Sarkar is a modern story set in today's time and age," he added.
"Many directors who have worked with Vijay sir have faced such pre-release issues. AL Vijay and Atlee have faced plagiarism charges in the past when they worked with Vijay sir. I think people who have an enmity against Vijay sir try to take revenge through such controversies just before the release of his movies," Murugadoss alleged.
The movie will hit the screens on November 6 in Telugu and Tamil.
