Murugadas had planned to start a film featuring superstar Rajinikanth after finishing his Hindi ‘Gajini’. Now that Rajini is committed to do ‘Robot’ with Shankar, Murugadas is planning to team up with the hero of Tamil ‘Gajini’ once again

Murugadas is said to have approached Suriya and briefed him the storyline. Suriya seems to be quite impressed and immediately accepted to act in the film. This development puts Suriya in a role meant for the superstar. The movie would be Murugadas’ own production, it is said.

Suriya has to finish ‘Varanam Aayiram’ with Goutham Menon and another movie with director Hari before coming to this project. Murugadas too has to finish his Hindi project. So, the movie is likely to start only in the later part of the year.
