Murder attempt case filed against Trichy coronavirus patient who spat on nurses

Murder attempt case has been filed against a coronavirus positive man housed in the isolation ward of the Mahatma Gandhi Memorial Hospital in Trichy. The accused was one among the 36 patients from the single source event in the capital of the country.

It has been alleged that right from admission some of those patients were refusing to cooperate with the hospital administration. This particular man had not only allegedly spat on the nurses but also threw used masks at them. Earlier the religious leaders were called in to pacify and explain the procedures and even the district collector tried to do the same. Since the patient still refused to budge in his stand claiming he was healthy and did not need the mask the case has been registered.
