Mohanlal`s Munthirivallikal Thalirkkumbol directed by Jibu Jacob which was released on January 20th, is now all set to be remade in various languages. In a recent interview, Jibu was quizzed on the movie's Tamil remake and the director revealed that the discussions on the movie's remakes are on full swing. Jibu, who wants to direct the Tamil remake by himself said that his first choice for the Tamil remake is Superstar Rajinikanth.

It is to be remembered that Rajinikanth had earlier too reprised Mohanlal's role in his Tamil remakes which were blockbuster hits such as Chandramukhi and Muthu. If this upcoming Tamil remake materializes, it would definitely be a HUGE treat for Rajinikanth fans!

Meanwhile, there is already a buzz that Munthirivallikal Thalirkkumbol's Telugu remake will have Tollywood superstar Venkatesh, reprising the role of Mohanlal. However, there is no official confirmation on the same.

In the movie Munthirivallikal Thalirkkumbol Mohanlal essays the role of middle-aged family man Ulhannan who rediscovers his lost love several years after his marriage to Meena. The movie which is based on Pranayopanishath written by V J James is produced by Sophia Paul. The film is a big hit and has grossed over Rs 20 crores at the Kerala box office.
