The shoot of director Venu’s 'Munnariyippu' is progressing in and around the city of Calicut. Venu’s first movie was Dhaya, written by M T Vasudevan Nair. He is a noted choreographer also.

Mammooty plays the lead role of Raghavan. Ranjipanikkar plays the role of a journalist in the movie and AparnaGopinath comes as his colleague.

An army of veteran actors and actresses are lining up for this movie including NedumudiVenu, PrathapPothan, Joy Mathew, kottyam Naseer, and Sreeraman.

The choreography of the movie is done by Venu himself. Music is by Bijipal. The film is produced under the banner of Gold coin motion pictures Company led by director Renjith.
