Breaking! ‘Mundasupatti 2’ gets ready to take off

Tamil movies lovers give first preference to comedies and never fail to turn them into blockbuster hits and also celebrate them forever.  One such laugh riot that remains a cult classic is ‘Mundasupatti’ directed by Ramkumar and produced by C.V. Kumar that released in the year 2014.

‘Mundasupatti’ set in the 1980s told the tale of how the hero woes his girl in her village where superstitions ruled.  A still camera and a meteorite were at the center of the plot giving rise to many a laugh out loud moment.  Vishnu Vishal, Nandita Swetha, Kaali Venkat, Muniskanth and Anandaraj formed the principal cast.

Producer C.V. Kumar before the pandemic announced sequels to many of the films produced by his Thirukumaran Entertainment and ‘Mudasupatti 2’ was prominent among them.  On Monday he posted photo with director Ramkumar and posed the question “Wht u expect from us folks ? @TheVishnuVishal @dir_ramkumar”.

Vishnu Vishal promptly replied “Yeduraa andhu camerava” suggesting that the much awaited sequel is gearing up to take off pretty soon.  Ramkumar who since delivered the psycho thriller ‘Ratsasan’ is currently attached to direct a new movie starring Sivakarthikeyan and produced by Sathya Jyothi Thiagarajan.  We will have to wait and watch how he fits ‘Mundasupatti 2’ into his schedule.
