The grit and courage of people can be mostly seen during a crisis, and so it is for the people of Mumbai to. The city which is limping back to a normal life after the terror attacks of 26/11 saw a number of film personalities as well as the locals take to the streets yesterday.

They were running to create awareness in their own small way regarding the social issues. The marathon was conducted by the Standard Chartered bank and is conducted every year in the month of January. The main motive of this year's run was supporting peace and oneness. There are four categories in the run namely full marathon, half marathon, dream run and wheelchair event.

Many of the Bollywood personalities took part in the run sans glamour. Apart from the film fraternity the top brass of various multi-national companies too took part in the run.

Reports indicate that in the last year the collection from the marathon crossed the 10-crore limit.

John Abraham, Arjun Rampal, and Priya Dutt were among the personalities who cheered the runners.
