The worst fears over Cyclone Nisarga are now a thing of the past as far as Mumbai is concerned. Some media reports on Wednesday said that Mumbai has escaped its wrath.

As per some media reports, the cyclone has affected a few areas of the city, with trees falling due to heavy rains on Wednesday. However, the cyclone hasn't been as devastating as was feared. "So far Cyclone Nisarg has spared Mumbai from its worst fallout. But trees have fallen in several areas. More troubling news from Alibaug, the eye of the storm where the damage is greater," wrote journalist Rajdeep Sardesai.

No terrible damage has been reported from Mumbai, which was to see its worst cyclone in 100 years.

After the recent Cyclone Amphan ravaged parts of West Bengal, fears were soaring till afternoon.
