In a shocking news, a Mumbai club cricketer was found dead at his residence in Malad on Monday night, and it was said by his friend that the cricketer killed himself as he was not selected in any of the eight IPL teams.
27 year old cricketer Karan Tiwari, popularly known as 'junior Dale Steyn' in local cricket for the similarities in physique and bowling action to the South African pace bowler, was found hanging from his ceiling fan when his family opened his bedroom door.
Police have filed an Accidental Death Report (ADR) and investigations are on. As per sources, Karan was depressed after not getting selected in the IPL, which begins on September 19 in the UAE. Reportedly, Karan called his best friend in Udaipur and informed that he's going to commit suicide, following which his friend informed Karan's sister but it was late when his sister called his mother, and Karan was declared dead before reaching the hospital.
