Multiple postponements to be negative for ‘Sita’?

Bellamkonda Sai Srinivas is looking forward to the release of ‘Sita’ this week.  Directed by Teja, the film will hit the screens on May 24.

The film has been postponed quite repeatedly.  Usually, those flicks that get postponed too many times don’t do well at the box-office in Telugu.  The trade buzz has it that ‘Sita’ was not in much enthusiastic demand from the distributors, one of the reasons why its release had to be delayed.   After much deferment this summer, it is coming finally amid low expectations.  Can the combination of Teja and Bellamkonda offset the ill effects in the prevailing conditions?

Starring Kajal Aggarwal in the role of an ambitious woman, it has Sonu Sood as the villain.  Music is by Anup Rubens.  The makers are banking on elements like the special song ‘Bulreddy’, which has Payal Rajput doing the dance.
