The buzz is that a superhero film adapted from the concept of Shaktimaan is due to be announced, and rumors rounding up strongly suggest that perhaps Ranveer Singh is being considered for the titular role. Confirmations are due; murmurs have it that the actor of 'Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani' is considered. But Singh, thrown out of the Mukesh Khanna-starring '80s superhero series quickly after, isn't the only one to question other Bollywood stars' ability to fill the gigantic shoes.
However, she dismissed the specific rumors in an interview with the YouTube channel Digital Commentary, pointing out that the actors on the shortlist for the role were still in negotiations.
He says that with Shah Rukh, Ajay Devgn, Akshay Kumar, or Tiger, who are established actors, the character can't be created because they have already created a persona. He suggested that a newcomer should portray a character that appeals to children.
As if gearing for success, Khanna also revealed talks with Star India for a new show on the lines of Shaktiman, though they did not come through. However, he remains unfazed and dismisses it as a setback. In the talks for the rights to the character, Khanna stresses that Shaktiman has always been really taking Indian mythology and going way deeper than ordinary fantasy series like the Avengers.
Tharoor, however, reacted recently to the rumors of considering Ranveer Singh for the role and said, "No way. He is not the right person." Khanna is campaigning against Singh's nomination for the epic role in a now-deleted video.
