For past few days, there have been news on social media about the passing of veteran actor Mukesh Khanna. The actor is known for his iconic television roles of Shaktiman and Bhishma Pitamah. Fortunately, the reports were all false and Mukesh Khanna himself has cleared the air around the matter. However, rumors like this aren't uncommon about celebrities and just like Mr Khanna explained, this is one of the negative aspects of social media.

In a video shared on Instagram, Mukesh Khanna said, "What should be the treatment for such mentally unstable people? Who will punish their misdeeds? Enough is enough. Now it is too much. There should be a stop on such fake news."

He captioned the post as, "With your blessings, I am completely healthy and safe. I don’t have Covid-19 and I was not admitted to any hospital. I don’t know who created this rumour and I don’t know what is the intention of those who spread such rumours. They tamper with people’s emotions with such false news."
