Recently, media reports claimed that Mukesh Ambani will be living with his family for a part of the year in London. The reports suggested that London is going to be his first home and not Mumbai. Turns out that the news is totally false.

In a statement, Reliance Industries Limited has said that Ambani and family have no plans to relocate to London's Stoke Park or anywhere else in the world.

Why then has Reliance acquired the Stoke Park estate? "The same is meant to develop the property as a premier golfing and sporting resort," the official statement reads. Reliance is seeking to make a mar in the hospitality industry globally.

The Stoke Park country club in Buckinghamshire was acquired by Reliance this Summer for $79 million. In rupee terms, it amounts to something like Rs 570 Cr. Many are questioning why Ambani spent so much on buying the property in London when the country was gasping for oxygen during the second wave. As a counter, many Netizens are saying that nobody should have any business commenting on what someone does with his money. Moreover, Reliance did everything it could during the pandemic to help the country.
