IndiaGlitz had earlier reported that ‘Muppozhudhum Un Karpanaigal’ was screened at the prestigious Cannes Film Festival and that producer and director of the project, Elred Kumar, represented the film in there.

Elred Kumar presented his film to an exclusive producer network at the Cannes fest and sources close to him express that he was elated to walk the red carpet along with prominent producers from across the globe.

Few international companies have shown interest in acquiring the remake rights of this film. As the film approaches its 100th day in Tamil Nadu will shortly be released in Telugu, it comes as an additional celebration that the producer has signed a contract with a company from Los Angeles call Eccho Remake as they have acquired the remake rights for the North American territory. Talks are on for the remake rights for the Korean and European territories!

The film was well received at the screening and interested buyers felt that the script had the potential to be explored as it was original and could be adapted in multiple territories.
