Syrian teenager's selfie videos reveals the grim reality of war

With the introduction of smart phones with superior cameras, selfies became the rave from restrooms to exotic locales on the world. Especially, it is not uncommon to notice teenagers engrossed in capturing the best selfiies everywhere.
However, Muhammad Najem a 15 year old teenager belonging to the Eastern Ghouta region of Damascus, Syria has been using selfie videos to bring to light the devastating effects of the war in his homeland. Najem’s selfie videos are filled with stories of despair and cruelty, not to mention his own texts and messages which make us doubt the presence of humanity.
Because of his selfie stories in his social page, people are able to see the Syrian catastrophe through the prism of an adolescent heart. The entire world is praying for the 11 year old ‘hell on earth’ Syrian conflict to come to a resolution. Here are some of Najem’s tweets:
