The censor board has certified UTV Motion Pictures' Mugamoodi with a clean U certificate and the film, as announced earlier by the makers, will grace worldwide screens on August 31. The film was given a U certificate with very little muting in a couple of scenes alone.

Mugamoodi that's touted to be the first superhero flick in Tamil sees Jiiva, Narein, Pooja Hegde in lead roles and has music by K while the flick is helmed by Mysskin. Mysskin has gone on record stating that the film will be no Superman or Batman, but a film tailor-made for Indians and about the superhero within oneself.

Mugamoodi sees some high voltage action scenes between Jiiva and Narein, it may be mentioned that the duo underwent training in martial arts for the film.

With action, sentiment, romance and a good against evil battle, Mugamoodi aims at family audiences.
