Ms. Koirala in new avatar

Manisha Koirala went into a cocoon for a period of time occasionally surfacing in few movies which didn’t even make moderate noises at the BO. The Nepali actress claims that she had just chose to lie low because she felt that the roles which came her way were not exciting enough. But now she has chosen to do three movies, in a hope to redefine her career. Manisha will surprise the audience in a total image make-over. She said to have been immensely toned down and tried to look much happening and sexy. In ‘Chehere’ she is playing two characters for the first time. It’s the same character, but placed in two different eras and thus having two distinct looks and two contrasting storylines. From a successful actress of the silent era cinema to a fading actress of modern cinema, it is a complex character. It was challenging to find a balance, she said.

After this she has ‘Do Paise Ki Dhoop Chaar Aane Ki Baarish’’ which will introduce actress Deepti Naval as a Director. Manisha will play another dual characters’ role in Partho Ghosh’s thriller movie titled, ‘Ek Second... Jo Zindagi Badal De’ with Jackie Shroff.

With such meaty roles, let’s hope Manisha wins over public again.
