MS Dhoni recommended for Padma Bhushan

Mahendra Singh Dhoni has captivated millions of Indian cricket fans through his extraordinary performance. Dhoni is also the only Indian captain to lead the national team to win two world titles '2007 World T20' and '2011- 50 Over World Cup'.
The Indian cricket board has recommended Dhoni for India's third highest civilian award Padma Bhushan for the cricketer's contribution to the game. A senior BCCI official told that the decision to recommend Dhoni's name for the award for unanimous and that the board has sent only one recommendation for the Padma Bhushan this year.
Having played in 302 ODIs, MS Dhoni has 16 international hundreds ,100 half-centuries and 9737 total runs taken. Mahi also has played 90 test matches and 78 T20 International matches. As a wicket keeper, Dhoni has a 584 catches across all platforms of the game and 163 stumpings to his credit.
If conferred with the award, Dhoni will become the 11th cricketer to be awarded the Padma Bhushan after cricketing legends like Sachin and Kapil Dev.
