Indian cricketer MS Dhoni, who had made himself unavailable for the upcoming India's tour of West Indies, had made a request to train with the Parachute regiment battalion, and his request has been accepted.
Following the approval of the request by General Bipin Rawat, Dhoni will train for two months with the Parachute regiment and some parts of the training will take place in Jammu and Kashmir too, but Dhoni won't be involved in any army operations.
Dhoni has always been fascinated by Indian army and has said in past that post retirement from cricket he'll serve the nation joining army. He was conferred the honorary lieutenant Colonel in 2011 by General VK Singh. Dhoni was seen wearing Balidan even during initial stages of ICC World Cup.
