Former Indian skipper MS Dhoni's manager Mihir Diwakar has mentioned in an interview with a news agency that Dhoni has no plans to retire as of now and is indeed keen on playing the upcoming IPL.
It's been a really long time since former Indian skipper, MS Dhoni, was seen on field and the debate over his future in cricket has been happening since India's semi-final exit from the 2019 World Cup, after which Dhoni has not played International cricket and refrained from answering questions regarding the same as well. With Dhoni's return to International cricket remaining uncertain, fans of the wicket keeper-batsman had been eagerly awaiting to watch their star player in action, but were left disappointed yet again due to the suspension of the 13th edition of IPL that was re-scheduled to begin on April 15.
Mihir, however, has some good news for the fans of the wicketkeeper-batsman. He reportedly stated, "Being friends, we don't talk about his cricket. But looking at him, he's not all thinking about retirement. He is very determined to play the IPL. He has worked really hard for this. If you remember he was there in Chennai one month in advance before everything was shut down. He has maintained his fitness regimen at his farmhouse and will start practice after the lockdown is lifted. Everything now depends on how fast the situation returns to normalcy."
