MS Dhoni files case seeking 40 crores dues!

Indian wicketkeeper batsman Mahendra Singh Dhoni has filed a case in the Supreme court requesting the court to direct Amrapali group to pay him 40 crores for his service as brand ambassador for the real estate group. Dhoni had endorsed the company in 2009 and and had featured in their advertisements.
In recent years, the Amrapali group has met with various financial issues and legal troubles, and more than 46000 home buyers have filed cases against the real estate company alleging that their homes are yet to be delivered. Dhoni had endorsed the brand till 2016, and his wife Sakshi was also a member of the charity wing of Amrapali.
Dhoni, in his petition to the Supreme court has mentioned that there are dues of 38.95 crores for his services, of which 22.53 crores is the principal, and 16.42 crores is the interest accrued at 18% simple interest per annum. He had also attached the documents of agreement between him and Amrapali group.
