Actress Mrunal Thakur is on her way to gradually cement her place in Hindi film industry. She has given memorable performances in films like 'Batla House', 'Super 30' and last year's 'Toofan' and now she's all set to appear alongside Ishaan Khatter and Priyanshu Painyuli in the war drama 'Pippa'.
In this biographical drama set against the 1971 Indo Pak War, Mrunal will seen in role of Priyanshu Painyuli and Ishaan Khatter's younger sister. During a recent media interaction, Mrunal shared how this role was largely different from her real life.
According to a report in ETimes, she stated, "Pippa is a special project for me for a number of reasons and a very major one being that I got to be in a role reversal from my real life for this project. I am getting to play the youngest sibling to Ishaan and Priyanshu, which is something unusual for me, as in real-life, I have one elder sister and one younger brother! This time, I got to get away with everything and my elder brothers on the set got the thrashing."
Mrunal concluded by saying, "Jokes apart, working on this film really felt like I was around family as I was truly pampered on the set, and these bonds have surely been formed for life. I hope that this reflects on-screen as well and the audience enjoys watching the film."
Apart from this one, Mrunal will also be seen alongside Shahid Kapoor in the upcoming sports drama 'Jersey'.
