Mrunal Thakur recently opened up about the challenges and vulnerabilities actors face in their lives. In a candid interview, she shared her lowest moments, revealing the struggles she faces, including days when getting out of bed is a challenge. She also addressed issues such as body-shaming and discussed the possibility of freezing her eggs.
Speaking to Humans of Bombay, Mrunal reflected on a time when she was trolled for her 'pear-shaped body.' Determined to challenge conventional beauty standards, she stated, Iâm going to change that beauty standard by flaunting my curves. Earlier, I was so afraid of wearing anything body-hugging. But now, Iâm like, âBody-hugging? Bring it on. And crop tops? Bring it on. Why do we need Kardashians to set beauty standards? Every Indian woman walking on the streets, theyâre so curvaceous, theyâre so beautiful.
Emphasizing the importance of body positivity, she added, There were days when I didnât want to wake up, I didnât want to get out of my bed, but I did. Not for others, but for myself. Iâm feeling low one day, two days, three days, weeks, months, but nobodyâs going to care except your family. So I feel like itâs so important to remind ourselves that if there are bad days, there will be good days.
In the interview, Mrunal also shared her thoughts on actor Mona Singh's decision to freeze her eggs and discussed the complexities of relationships in the entertainment industry. Relationships, I know itâs tough, but thatâs why you need the right partner who would understand what the nature of your job is. Freezing the eggs, yes, Iâm also considering that, she said.
Mrunal was last seen in the Telugu film 'The Family Star', starring alongside Vijay Deverakonda. The film is set to release on Prime Video on April 26, adding to her diverse repertoire of roles across various film industries.
