Actress Mrunal Thakur shot to fame in Telugu with last year's blockbuster 'Sita Ramam'. The film, starring Dulquer Salmaan as the hero, was directed by Hanu Raghavapudi.

The beauty has hitherto to been predominantly associated with Hindi cinema. For a change, she is expanding her horizons and is wishing to go great guns down South. In Telugu, she is already doing a straight film opposite Natural Star Nani. Directed by debutant Shouryuv, the multi-lingual drama produced by Mohan Cherukuri (CVM), Dr Vijender Reddy Teegala, and Murthy KS of Vyra Entertainments. Mrunal has already shot for a schedule.

It's learned that the actress, who was recently seen in the Bollywood film 'Selfiee', has collaborated with a talent management agency named Benchmark Talents in her quest to make South Indian cinema her mainstay. Mrunal is expected to bag projects in Kollywood and Mollywood in the coming years. Given that she is an acting talent who balances performance and glamour, she is all set to further cement her position.

It has to be seen whether she is indeed doing Suriya's 42nd movie, as has been rumoured.
