'Mr. Majnu' stares at a rout in US

It seems Akhil Akkineni is in for another flop at the box-office. 'Mr. Majnu', which started out to be a flop in the US right from Day 1, is the year's another big overseas disaster after 'Vinaya Vidheya Rama' and 'NTR: Kathanayakudu'.
In the domestic market and in other markets, the Venky Atluri directorial was able to mop up a distributor share of about Rs 9.15 Cr in the first weekend. The rom-com is most likely to generate heavy losses for distributors in the Telugu States as well.
Starring Nidhhi Agerwal as the heroine, the BVSN Prasad-produced entertainer is Akhil's third movie. It has had no competition at the BO. Its performance should have been much better given the buzz its trailer had generated and the genre.
