Director Kudlu Ramakrishna known for novel based films has created a blunder via Mr Duplicate. He has given credit for Raghav Dwarki as story writer for the film. The film is a frame to frame remake of `Minnale'  Tamil and `Rehna Hai Tere Dil Mein' in Hindi directed by Gautham Menon.

For a remake film giving story credit is something unheard and it is shameful. Director Kudlu Ramakrishna and Dwaraki Raghav deserve condemnation for this foul method.

Mr Duplicate released on this Friday to a weak opening is not with many surprises or good elements for the Kannada audience. It is nothing but a decade old story told again. Most of the family audiences have already seen in the small screen the Tamil and Hindi versions.

Nandakumar (Prajwal Devaraj) a jobless youth a freeloader from his father Ramprasad (Devaraj) earning falls in love with the spark he was looking for - that is Poornima (Sheetal). He is waiting to meet her next time but she comes before him mistaking him as Vikram at the restaurant.

Vikram (Diganth) was supposed to be at this place but he is off to Hong Kong on business assignment for a week. So Poornima looking at this smart guy as she spoils her mobile phone takes Nandakumar to her house. Nandakumar make use of this opportunity and lives in the house of Poornima. They fall in love but when Poornima comes to know that Nandakumar is a cheat and imposter she feels bad. But before that she had given her heart to him.

When Vikram arrives to Mangalore he finds his rival in the college Nandakumar is the imposter and he insult Nandakumar to the core.

The two families of Vikram and Poornima decide for marriage but on the marriage day Vikram knows the real truth by enacting a small drama. In a graceful style Vikram hand over Poornima to Nandakumar in the climax.

It is good to see two good looking actors and a beautiful Sheetal on the screen. Both Diganth and Prajwal given good performance. Sheetal is a beauty to watch. She has a good fortune.

Mano Murthy considered as the best melody music director fails to impress in more than one song. Naveen Suvarana camera work is adequate.

For the first time audience this is an average stuff.
