Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has become the first CM in the country to contract Coronavirus. The 61-year-old BJP CM has on Saturday said that he has tested positive for Covid-19. Reports add that he will be admitted to the Chirayu Hospital in Bhopal later today.
Taking to Twitter, the popular leader revealed that he got tested for COVID-19 after symptoms started surfacing. Saying that he has quarantined himself, he made an appeal to everyone who has come in contact with him to get tested. The CM added that even little bit of carelessness can result in infection.
The Home Minister of the State will also be getting tested, reports say.
